Nick Ragone is an author, attorney and public relations executive in New York City. He earned a bachelor’s degree in history and political science from Rutgers University, and is a graduate of the Eagleton Institute of Political Science at Rutgers University (undergraduate) and the Georgetown University Law Center.
He is the author of three books: Essential American Government, Everything American Government, and President's Most Wanted. Nick is a regular contributor to the Fox News Channel and Fox Business, the PIX11 Morning Show, and has a weekly appearance on the popular Raph Bailey Radio Show. He co-anchored PIX11's five-hour live inauguration coverage with Jim Watkins and Kaity Tong.

I was on the CW11 Morning Show this am talking about Obama's cabinet selections. I think Geithner is a solid choice at Treasury, and Summers will provide experience inside the White House. I don't quite get Janet Napolitano at Homeland Security, but then again I don't understand the the TV show Lost, either.

I have a question - has there even been some sort of major trouble (economy, war, death, etc) that took place right during a president's lame duck period? I know it isnt the case here, but in the history of USA I was curious if something major took place in this time frame....that perhaps changed the landscape of what the president-elect see his sights on
Yea with Hoover and FDR. The banking system melted down in December of 1932 - a third of all banks failed. And Hoover and FDR refused to work on it together. That's why they moved the inauguration up from March to January, actually, in 1936.
